Milo Mahadeo

Milo Mahadeo is an emerging artist whose practice centres on the relationship between human identity and the natural world. Working predominantly in mixed media, Milo uses, organic textures and mark-making to create atmospheric works that suggest both growth and erosion. Natural forms and traces of landscapes can be found within the work as symbols for transformation and growth. Alongside this practice, Milo maintains a strong foundation in observational drawing and painting, particularly in portraiture and landscape. He has taken inspiration from artists such as Guillermo Lorca and Gustave Doré and their unique styles that focus on contemporary traditional techniques. Through this collection, Milo explores how environments develop and how nature evolves into an ecosystem. He continues to develop a personal visual language that merges traditional skill with modern day perspectives.
